Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef, pork sausage, or Italian sausage
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 can stewed tomatoes, #2 can, 2 ½ cups
- 1 can tomato paste, 6 ounces, ¾ cup
- 1 package wide noodles, 10 ounces
- 2 cartons cottage cheese, 12 ounces each
- 2 beaten eggs
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons parsley flakes
- ½ cup parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Brown meat in oil. Add next 6 ingredients. Simmer uncovered until thick, about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- Cook noodles in salted water until tender. Meanwhile, combine cottage cheese with next 5 ingredients.
- Place a layer of noodles on bottom of pan, 13x9x2. Spread with ⅓ cottage cheese. Add mozzarella cheese layer, then hamburger layer, then start layers over again.
- Bake at 375° for 30 minutes.
