Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 ½ cups scalded milk
  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 baked pie crust
  • Meringue

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, salt, and flour.
  2. Add slightly beaten egg yolks.
  3. Pour scalded milk over this mixture.
  4. Cook until thickens, stirring constantly. Cook 5 minutes more, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add peanut butter.
  6. Cool and pour into baked crust.
  7. Add meringue and bake.
