Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or oleo
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup cocoa
  • Salt
  • Vanilla
  • Nuts

Instructions

  1. Cream butter or oleo with sugar until well combined.
  2. Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cocoa, and salt.
  4. Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Stir in vanilla and nuts.
  6. Spread batter in a greased baking pan.
  7. Bake at 350° until set and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool before cutting.
