Ingredients

  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups 100% Bran Flakes
  • 4 cups Kellogg’s All-Bran
  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 unbeaten eggs
  • 1 quart buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Pour boiling water over bran flakes, All-Bran, Crisco, and sugar. Let stand until cool.
  2. Add unbeaten eggs and buttermilk. Beat well.
  3. Add soda, flour, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Bake at 400° for 20 minutes.
  5. Store unbaked batter in refrigerator.
