Ingredients

  • 1 package Betty Crocker yellow cake mix
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs
  • ¾ cup oil
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon imitation butter flavor
  • ½ cup nuts

Filling:

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon

Icing:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon imitation butter flavor
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Milk, enough for thin icing

Instructions

  1. Combine cake mix, instant vanilla pudding, eggs, oil, water, vanilla, and imitation butter flavor.
  2. Beat at high speed for 8 minutes.
  3. Grease and flour an angel food pan.
  4. Sprinkle ½ cup nuts on bottom of pan.
  5. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon for filling.
  6. Alternate filling and batter in pan, ending with batter on top.
  7. Bake at 350° for 55 minutes to 1 ½ hours.
  8. For icing, mix powdered sugar, imitation butter flavor, vanilla, and enough milk to make a thin icing.
  9. Spread icing while cake is warm.

Notes

The baking time appears to read “350 - 55 min - 1 ½ hrs,” so check for doneness before removing from oven.
