Ingredients

Crust:

  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter

Bar Layer:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup nuts

Pineapple Filling:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 heaping tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 small can crushed pineapple

Instructions

  1. Mix crust ingredients together. Press into a 7x11 pan.
  2. Bake at 350° until light brown.
  3. Beat eggs well. Add brown sugar, flour, vanilla, salt, and nuts.
  4. Put on top of baked crust and bake for 25 minutes.
  5. Cool.
  6. For pineapple filling, beat eggs. Add remaining filling ingredients and cook until thick in double boiler.
  7. Let cool, then spread over baked mixture.
  8. Sprinkle with [unclear] nuts.
  9. Cut in squares.
  10. Store in refrigerator.

Notes

The nut note at the bottom is hard to read. It may say “with more nuts,” “with mac nuts,” or similar.
