Ingredients

  • 2 ½ to 3 pounds pork roast
  • 1 package small pinto beans
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper or red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 2 cans diced green chilies

Instructions

  1. Cook for 8 or more hours on low.

Notes

Serve with:
Shredded pork
Taco sauce
Sour cream

Stack on plate with:
Corn chips
Diced tomatoes
Dried onion
Chopped black olives
Chopped lettuce
